CampaignsChuck the Chicken became a mascot and communications tool for the Active After School web resource. To promote the site to an audience of after school practitioners not typically accessing online tools in program creation, we purchased and distributed rubber chickens – a piece of equipment hugely popular in After School Settings.
The chickens were a hook to bring staff to the website to find safe, fun, engaging games for kids using our collection. “Chuck” – a play on the ever popular chuck the chicken throwing game - became the center of our outreach and made appearances in our booths, social media, conference presentations and in other promotion and was a great hit drawing lots of attention to the portal. |
